Have you ever wondered what
you can do to nurture the musical growth of your child, regardless of your own musical ability? Then come join Terri Winkler in Music Together, an internationally recognized early
childhood music program for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them!
Music Together classes
are based on the recognition that all children are musical. All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate
with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning. By emphasizing
actual music experiences rather than concepts about music, Music Together introduces children to the pleasures of making music
instead of passively receiving it from CDs or TV.
Parent/caregiver participation is an essential (and delightful)
component of this program. We give you the opportunity to fully participate in class with your child as we explore what music
sounds like, looks like, and feels like. Music Together encourages you to bring music into your family's daily life and gives
you lots of fun ideas on how to do so. Together, we will encourage musical exploration and nurture your child's musical development
in a safe, creative environment.
Children in our mixed-age classes participate at their own level and when they
are ready: there is no performance pressure whatsoever. Children are not required to sit still; rather, they are encouraged
to respond spontaneously to the musical environment. We use singing, movement, rhythmic chants, instruments, and lots of other
ways to express ourselves musically. And here's a secret: the adults have as much fun as the children!

Terri has taught early childhood music for 9 years, and has offered the Music Together program for 5 years. She has a
BA in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, and has worked as a musician, arranger, composer, and music teacher for more than 20
years. In 2006 she was awarded Music Together Certification Level I for outstanding achievement in teaching, musicianship,
and parent education. She is a member of the Early Childhood Movement and Music Association (ECMMA). My goal is to encourage a love of music, instill an understanding of music, and enable an ability to make
music in a supportive and encouraging environment. My classes are fun, free-spirited, joyous forays into music and movement for the whole family.
