    CHILD CLASS: no parent/guardian participation

If you are looking for a fun class, this is the class for your dancer. The class description says "ballet", our style is more "pop ballet". Dancing to popular music vs. a whole class of old school style of teaching with piano music and strictly classical.

We call it "pop dance" because that is what the kids call this style of dance. Think of it as "hip hop lite" fun video style dancing that is age and song appropriate. Our routines and costumes are always "grandma approved".

The children will begin to learn the basic terminology and positions (poses) as part of their dance education and foundation of moving properly. They will have fun dancing through obstacle courses and using props as they gain better gross motor skills. They will following the teacher shadow dancing and learn simple routines as they move and dance during class.

The class length is 40 minutes to keep the child engaged and looking forward to next class.

Our focus is fun! Learning to dance is a great way for kids to gain energy and great for fitness. Instructors encourage the kids to keep dancing at home too!

    Parents, Grandparents & Guardians can:

  • Watch class - they are only little once and this is a precious opportunity
  • Take pictures and videos

  • What to Wear

What to Wear: Anything that allows for movement

Boys: Anything stretchy or cotton clothing that allows for movement. Boys shoes: wear black jazz slippers or dance barefoot.
