FOR DANCES & SOCIALS: Dinner Party Attire

What would you wear if you were going out on a date or to a friends for a dinner party? It is time to pull out that outfit that you bought for that unexpected special occasion, that is too dressy for work. Isn't it nice to see everyone dressed up?

FOR BALLS, SHOWCASES & COMPETITIONS: The invitation will indicate.
Gentlemen: Black Tie is always acceptable for the more formal events. Tails are ususually for those will be performing, but completely acceptable. A Suit or Suit Jacket is expected during dinner.
Ladies: Cocktail Length or Full Length Gowns. Take in consideration that your dress allows you to have movement and the length is off the floor enough to keep your partner from stepping on your dress.\

Ballroom Shoes: These shoes are made specifically for dancing. The soles are suede which allow you to slide but not slip on the floor. The leather upper is supple to allow you to bend at the ball of the foot which most dress shoes, especially gentlemen's dress shoes, do not allow. Both the mens' and ladies' shoes have a steel shank for support to properly adjust your weight over your heels and through the arch. When you purchase these shoes you should never allow them to get wet or wear them outside. There is usually a bag included with a purchase so that you can change your shoes once you arrive at your dance destination.
